Tala
Shoreditch, London.
The new Tala showroom was in need of some indoor plants to soften the beautiful industrial and somewhat familiar space. I used to work in this very building when I first moved to London! The shop space was home to East London tailoring brand Mr.Start, so to be back in there doing what I love was a real treat. The Tala team wanted soft and natural pops of greenery around the ground floor showroom where light levels are ideal for a range of house plants.
As the space is open to the general public; I selected plant varieties that can withstand high traffic and multiple leaf strokes from adoring customers. House plant classics like Asplenium and Synonium make ideal smaller displays, whilst height and elegance is achieved with palm species like Howea and Dypsis. Set against the original brick walls and cozy lighting, these indoro plants couldn’t look more at home!

Elliot Boyd - Senior Operations Manager
Why are plants important for you and your team in the Tala showroom?
The plants add a refreshing touch to our showroom, perfectly complementing the atmosphere. Our products are inspired by nature and natural forms, so the inclusion of these plants aligns beautifully with these elements. It's essential for us to incorporate such natural accents into the space.
Why did you choose to work with Plants By There on this project?
We met James at an event and were immediately drawn to his keen eye and expertise. We used his services to ensure we had the right plants in our space. He help created the perfect ambience, matching the space and conditions effectively.
How would you describe your overall experience with our plant installation and care service?
James provides great service—efficient, helpful, and ensures our plants remain fresh and in good condition under expert care. It's always a pleasure when James pops by the space for a catch-up too!
